Larisa Gurnick is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in strategy, marketing and operations in banking, membership and professional services organizations. Larisa is recognized for strategic initiatives focused on increasing market share, profitability, and stakeholder value and developing teams that achieve results.
As the Managing Partner of Moments by Wayne Gurnick, a wedding and event planning company, Larisa’s responsibilities include strategic planning, marketing, PR, new products and alliances, HR, finance and technology. After concluding a successful corporate executive career, Larisa is now committed to expanding Moments by Wayne into a top-performing national event company focused on delivering exceptional service while providing growth opportunities to its team and partners.
Recognizing an unmet need in the marketplace, Larisa was instrumental in developing The Ultimate Wedding Planning Systemtm to help the Do It Yourself couples and to provide a valuable service to hotels and other venues producing large number of weddings. Creating innovative solutions that are responsive to customers’ needs along with the flawless delivery of products and services based on trust, quality and efficiency is Larisa’s passion.
Larisa enjoys giving back to her community through her role as a pro-bono consultant with the Taproot Foundation and has been involved in fund raising campaigns for the local public schools. Larisa has worked with College Bound, Communities in Schools, and served on the Board of NCCJ.
Larisa graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BS in Business Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status). Larisa earned a certification from the UCLA Anderson School in Management Development for Entrepreneurs in 2012.
Larisa believes that the “back of her business card” is just as important as the front. Larisa lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Wayne and their three sons, Matthew, Joshua and Ryan. She loves intimate dinner parties at home, wine tasting, walking for miles and reading. Larisa’s inspiration comes from companies and individuals who achieve success by doing the right thing for their customers and employees. She challenges herself to think creatively and come up with ideas and concepts that are different.
