Darren works with catering and convention clients including weddings, meeting and group events, holiday gatherings, and more. Darren began with the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in November 2010.
Originally from Honolulu, HI, Darren has been with Hyatt for 14 years and began his career as a Corporate Management Trainee at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa. He has held the positions of Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Manager, Catering Manager, Group Sales Manager, and Associate Director of Catering & Convention Services at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki and most recently at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in English from Boston College in Boston, MA in 1996.
Jena is responsible for managing and executing public relations and marketing strategies locally, regionally and nationally. Jena joined the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in 2007 as a corporate management trainee. Upon her completion of the program, she was honored with an Awards of Excellence achievement and was invited to join the sales team as a small meeting sales manager. Thereafter, she was promoted to public relations and marketing manager. Jena has served in this position for four years.
In 2010, the New Mexico Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awarded Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa The Cumbre Gold Award for Campaign Reputation Management. Jena was instrumental in receiving this honor.
Jena’s involvement in outside organizations and volunteer efforts is quite extensive. She is a member of The Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA) and currently serves as the marketing and media chair. In 2010, she was committee chair for Red Wine & Blues, A Taste of Albuquerque; JLA’s largest annual fundraising event. The event raised $35,000 benefiting the projects of the Junior League, including APS Title 1 and Project Share; feeding the homeless children of Albuquerque.
Jena also enjoys volunteering for Animal Humane NM and is a member of the Tail Date committee, a social club for dog lovers. She also volunteers for New Day Youth & Family Services and currently serves on the Green Team at Hyatt Regency Tamaya; committed to promoting green efforts and recycling practices at the resort.
